Today's tutorial is about the etisalat bis dataplan and how to make it work on android devices.
As we all know this dataplan was launched for blackberry devices only but new methods have been unveiled that enable non-blackberry users to enjoy thhis dataplan.
HOW DO I ACTIVATE THIS DATAPLAN ?
- To activate the monthly plan dial *499#3# and it costs N1000 [a thousand naira]
- to activate the weekly plan dial *499*3*1# and it costs N400
After successful subscription some settings have to be applied to the android device which it is to be used on they are as follows:
navigate to settings>more>mobile networks>apn [or access point names]
create new apn like this
Name: etisalat bis
apn: blackberry.net
proxy: 10.71.170.5
port: 8080
apn type: default,supl
click save and select the created apn as the apn to be used by your phone when connecting to the internet.
and you are good to go.
